There were plenty of runs in yesterday’s Jolly’s Drinks ECB Cornwall Premier League with all five winning teams taking maximum bonus points. St Austell remain top after winning at St Just by 150 runs. St Austell made 308 for six with Mike Bone hitting 121. St Just were dismissed for 158 with Justin Stephens last out for 85. Grampound Road had a six wicket home win over Falmouth, who were bowled out for 173 with Christian Purchase making 89. The Road reached 177 for four with 25 overs to spare. At Truro Scott Harvey batted through the innings to end on 132 not out in Truro’s 322 for seven. Tom Sharp made 87. Penzance were all out for 64 with Neil Ivamy taking five for 19. Werrington won at Redruth after making 263 for 7 with Redruth all out for 204. Camborne moved off the bottom thanks to a 229 run home win over Newquay. Camborne made 299 for 8 with Louis Delport getting 112, Jeff Carvelly then took 6 for 29 in Newquay’s 70 all out.
In County Division 1 the top three, Helston, Callington and Hayle, all won. The results were:
